WordleKit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

WordleKit ("we", "us") provides a free word-game toolkit. This page explains what data we handle and why.

1. Data we store on your device (localStorage)

To keep the game working without forcing you to log in, we store a few things in your browser (not on our servers):

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share a link. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

2. Data we store on our servers

When you play a custom challenge, we store the challenge word, your display name, and your result (won / number of guesses) so a shared leaderboard can be shown. We do not collect emails, passwords, or payment information.

3. Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to remember your anonymous visitor ID. If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may set its own cookies (see below).

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display ads via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits and to personalize where allowed by law. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's Advertising Policies.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or via the Your Online Choices / DAAC portals.

5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. Because we store almost nothing identifiable, the simplest control is to clear your browser storage. For any request, contact us through the site.

6. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
